THE GIRLS
Carolina Herrera
Carolina and Roe met on a cruise in 2011, and quickly bonded over shoes, salsa dancing, and a love for dessert. The pair travels together regularly, and now that they each have found their significant other, the men get invited on the trips, too.
Courtney Schank
Courtney and Roe met as freshmen during Piper High School’s production of Bye Bye Birdie, and 21 years later, their friendship is officially of legal drinking age. The high school friends became college roommates at the University of Florida (B303!), and the two have remained close through all seasons of life.
Jaime Gottlieb
After dating the same boy (at different times) in high school, Jaime and Roe found themselves seated side-by-side in Ms. Gold’s AP English class. They formed a beautiful friendship that has spanned more than two decades, colored (orange) by a mutual love for vocabulary words and culinary delights.
Jessica Adamo
It was love at first sight when Roe met Jess, her beautiful niece. Even though they lived far apart when Jess was little, they share a special bond, thanks to annual visits and time spent at JV basketball games, braiding hair, and talking about boys.
Jessica Hess
In 2011, Jess and Roe began their friendship over one cake with two candles, on a boat in international waters. The travel buddies share a birthday, and an obsession with penguins, planning, pool days, and jamming out to Bell Biv Davoe.
Sidney Henne
As co-workers at Deutsch NY, Sid and Roe spent many late nights bonding over Schnippers’ Salted Caramel Milkshakes, Westville's Bacon Mac and Cheese, and Big Gay Ice Cream's Salty Pimps. Their friendship outlasted the all-nighters (and the calories), and has taken them to the Taj Majal and back (literally).
THE GUYS
David Nashtatik
Ryan and David’s friendship started almost 30 years ago at Carvel, which is still one of the best jobs Ryan has ever had. Ryan says Dave was more of a push over back then, but Dave got his revenge by becoming Ryan’s dentist.
Godrey “Jet” Fandialan
Jet and Ryan met at an acting class a decade ago, when they worked together on a few scenes and class exercises. Since then, they have remained close friends and embark on a monthly man-date, featuring gab fests over drinks, food, and dessert.
Michael Masters
Michael and Ryan met in high school when a close friend of Ryan’s had a crush on Michael. Ryan played matchmaker and passed notes to Michael in history class. Twenty-five years later, the two are still friends, and share a love for the Yankees.
Michael Zwetschkenbaum
Michael and Ryan met at FAU and worked together at Mozzarella’s Cafe in Mizner Park, where they became close friends. They spent many fun nights as college buddies in South Florida, but have remained very close through many life changing events and moves across states.
Carl Brunswick
Carl, aka Ryan’s “brother from another mother,” is the first person Ryan met while interviewing for his first job after college. They quickly bonded and became partners-in-crime. Friends for more than 20 years, the two share a love for movies, especially Star Wars and Sci-Fi.
Richard “Lloyd” Ignacio
Ryan had two work wives at Yahoo!, and Richard was one of them. He’s the bickering brother that Ryan never had. They’ve been friends for more than ten years, and Richard, along with Kristen Olsen and Mike Barath, made up the best team Ryan ever worked with in his career.
OFFICIANT
David "Dave" Lonergan
Ryan met Dave on the 2009 Yahoo! NYC Triathlon Team, and they immediately bonded over their disdain for early morning training sessions. It’s been years since they’ve done a Tri together, but Dave and Ryan are still running partners, although they often short change their runs to grab bagels. Roe met Dave at Ryan’s 40th birthday party, and he commanded the room with his incredible sense of humor. It also helped that he was walking around with a bottle of Jameson and handing out shot glasses to everyone in sight. Fortunately, the Jameson shots didn’t become a tradition like the bagels, but double-date steak dinners between Ryan & Roe and Dave & Lizzie, Dave's lovely wife, did. With his witty humor, big brains, and even bigger heart, Roe and Ryan knew Dave would be the perfect choice to officiate their wedding.
