There’s plenty to do at this state park located just 20 minutes north of Oneonta. You’ll find more than 12 miles of interconnecting trails for hiking, a playground, a disc golf course, swimming, and boat/kayak rentals.
Grossinger’s Catskill Resort Hotel
It’s a hefty 90 min south of Oneonta, but if you’re a pop culture buff, you can't miss the ruins of Grossinger’s, the resort that inspired the fictional Kellerman’s in the film Dirty Dancing. The resort is abandoned, but you can still walk the grounds where Jerry Lewis played, Rocky Marciano trained, Jackie Robinson vacationed, and Liz Taylor wed.
